Inventory History

Open Inventory History

Inventory History shows events that changed or moved stock over time. Use it when the current quantity is not enough and you need to understand how inventory got to its present state.

History can include Manual Receipts, Purchase Receipts, movements, adjustments, production material use and output, Quick Sales, Split Lot activity, and supported reversals. A row can identify the affected Item/Lot/Container, event type, time, quantity effect, Location changes, user/action context, and related source record. Times are shown in the business timezone, so they stay consistent across users in different locations.

For an investigation, work from the correct current record back to the most recent relevant event. This separates the question of what happened to stock from the question of who performed an application action around it.

Use the available search and sorting controls to locate an Item, identifier, date, event, or related transaction. Use Inventory History for what happened to stock; use Audit Log for broader application/user activity.

For Oak Creek Goods, start with a finished FG-CHERRYCHOCO-8 case or one of its source records. The connected events can include the High Plains ingredient Purchase Receipt, receiving and Container movement, a quality status change for RM-CHOC-NAT where applicable, ingredient consumption, intermediate bulk output, finished packout, movement to ST-B01, and the Quick Sale. Indietory represents this through the linked inventory, Lot, Container, source, and history records; it does not require a separate genealogy feature.
